เพราะไม่ครอบคลุมเนื้อหาตลอดทั้งเรื่อง แต่เป็น “ความหลง” ซึ่งกวีทรงสื่อสารผ่าน
พฤติกรรมและคำพูดของตัวละครจำนวนมาก รวมทั้งผ่านคำสอนของกวีที่เน้นในกลอน
ท้ายเรื่อง นอกจากนี้ พบว่าแก่นเรื่องนี้มีบทบาทสeคัญทั้งต่อการดำเนินเรื่องและต่อตัว

The theme in Bot Lakhon Rueng Rammakien by King Rama I might
not be the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness as has been understood
before because it could not cover the whole story. Actually, it is the infatuation
which the poet communicates through many characters’ behaviors and
dialogues including through the poet’s teaching at the end of the story. It is
found that this theme has important roles on carrying on the story as well as
on characters in the story
