เสียงแห่งความขัดแย้งที่สะท้อนผ่านดนตรีเมทัลไทย : กรณีศึกษาบทเพลง ศรัทธาหรือสัตว์ทา ของวง Dezember (The Sound of Conflict Reflected through Thai Metal Music : A Case Study of Faith or Fake Song of Dezember Music Group)

Abstract

เสียงแห่งความขัดแย้งที่สะท้อนผ่านดนตรีเมทัลไทย : กรณีศึกษาบทเพลง
ศรัทธาหรือสัตว์ทา ของวง Dezember เป็นผลงานเพลงที่ได้หยิบยกประเด็นปัญหา
ที่เกิดขึ้นจริงในสังคมไทย โดยนำเสนอเนื้อหาของตัวบทเพลงที่สะท้อนสภาพการณ์
ความขัดแย้งได้อย่างครอบคลุมและตรงไปตรงมา ซึ่งได้ตีแผ่เชิงวิจารณ์เสียดสีถึงเรื่องราว
ความไมล่ งรอยทางศาสนา ในกรณีพิพาทลัทธิพระธรรมกายที่ถูกวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ในกระแส
สังคมไทยมายาวนาน ผนวกกับการแสดงออกทางดนตรีที่มีท่วงทำนองอันหนักหน่วง ดุดัน
และรุนแรง อันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของดนตรีเมทัลที่มีส่วนสนับสนุนและขับเคลื่อนให้ระดับ
ของความขัดแย้งเพิ่มมากขึ้น 

ในบทความชิ้นนี้ ได้นำเสนอและวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาของบทเพลง “ศรัทธาหรือ
สัตว์ทา” รวมถึงภาพลักษณ์ของดนตรีเมทัล โดยยึดหลักกรอบแนวคิดเรื่อง “ดนตรี
กับความขัดแย้ง” พบว่า มีสี่ส่วนที่สัมพันธ์กับความขัดแย้ง ได้แก่ 1) โครงสร้างของดนตรี 

เมทัล 2) เนื้อหาของดนตรีเมทัล 3) การแสดงของดนตรีเมทัล และ 4) สิ่งแวดล้อมทาง
ดนตรีเมทัล ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้น บทบาทของดนตรีเมทัลไม่ได้เสนอแค่ภาพความรุนแรง ป่าเถื่อน
หรืออคติต่อสังคมเท่านั้น หากแต่ดนตรีประเภทนี้กำลังพยายามที่จะเป็นเสียงหนึ่งเพื่อ
เรียกร้องให้สังคมหันมาแก้ไขปัญหาความขัดแย้งให้คลี่คลายและหมดสิ้นไปก็เป็นได้

The sound of conflict reflected through Thai Metal Music: A case study
of Faith or Fake Song of Dezember music group was the music that highlighted
problems in Thailand. The content of the songs reflected straight forward the
whole circumstance conflicts which unfold the issues as satiric criticism of
religious incompatibilities. The ideological dispute on Phra Dhammakaya has
been criticized in the Thai society for a long time. With the musical expression
by heavy, aggressive, and violent melodies, the unique Metal Band had
supported and driven the level of conflict to increase. 

This article presents the analysis of the content in the song of “Faith
or Fake”, including the image of Metal Music based on the conceptual
framework of “Music and Conflict”. The analysis revealed that there are four
sections in relation to the conflict. Those sections are 1) the structure of the
metal music; 2) the content of the metal music; 3) musical performances of the
metal music; and 4) The environment of the metal music. In any case, the role
of Metal Music does not only offer a graphic violence, barbaric or prejudice
toward the society, but this kind of music is trying to be one voice to demand
social disputes turn to unravel and put an end to it.
