Abstract

การเปลี่ยนแปลงจากการใช้ศักราชจากรัตนโกสินทร์ศกมาเป็นพุทธศักราช
อาจนับเป็นปฐมบทของความเปลี่ยนแปลงความคิดเกี่ยวกับเวลา หลังจากนั้นอีกครึ่ง
ทศวรรษต่อมา ความเปลี่ยนแปลงเรื่องเวลาได้นำไปสู่ระบบเวลามาตรฐานที่อิงกับสากล
ทั้งนี้ระบบเวลาแบบใหม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับระบบราชการและการคมนาคมขนส่งที่ขยาย
ตัวอย่างเต็มที่ในทศวรรษ 2460 โดยเฉพาะเมื่อถูกเชื่อมโยงด้วยระบบคมนาคมอันทันสมัย

The change from Rattanakosin Era to Buddhist Era might be the
beginning of the shift of the concept about time. About half a decade later, the
Siam's time system has depended on the International system. The new time
system inextricably linked to bureaucratic organization and public
transportation which largely expanded in 1920s. Obviously, the railway system
connected Bangkok to the major cities in many regions. However, Siam could
not achieve the mission of physical space construction at nationwide level
because of the limit of budget and technology. This will be the mission that
might be reached by the state in the next half century.
