กลวิธีทางภาษาที่ใช้ในการบอกเลิกสัญญากับปัจจัย เรื่อง “ความอาวุโส” ในสังคมไทย (Linguistic Strategies for Cancellation of Promises and the Factor of ‘Seniority’ in Thai Society)

Abstract

บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกลวิธีทางภาษา
ที่ผู้พูดภาษาไทยใช้ในการบอกเลิกสัญญากับปัจจัยเรื่อง “ความอาวุโส” ในสังคมไทย
โดยมีคำถามการวิจัยว่าในการปฏิสัมพันธ์ผู้พูดภาษาไทยจะเลือกใช้กลวิธีทางภาษา
ในการบอกเลิกสัญญาผู้ฟังที่มีความอาวุโสมากกว่าผู้พูดกับผู้ฟังที่ผู้พูดรู้จักทั่วไป (ไม่ได้มี
ความอาวุโสมากกว่าผู้พูด) เหมือนหรือต่างกันหรือไม่ อย่างไร ผลการวิจัยพบว่าปัจจัย
เรื่อง “ความอาวุโส” ในสังคมไทยมีผลต่อการเลือกใช้กลวิธีทางภาษาในการบอกเลิก
สัญญาของผู้พูดภาษาไทย โดยความสัมพันธ์ดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับปัจจัยทางสังคม
วัฒนธรรมเรื่องความเป็นสังคมแบบ “ผู้น้อย - ผู้ใหญ่”

This article aims at examining relationship between linguistic
strategies used for cancellation of promises and a factor of Khwām xāwus̄o
‘seniority’ in Thai society. The research question is how Thai choose
linguistic strategies to cancel from their Khwām xāwus̄o ‘seniority’ and from the
one who is not their Khwām xāwus̄o ‘seniority’. The result reveals that Khwām
xāwus̄o ‘seniority’ influences how Thai choose linguistic strategies to cancel.
The relationship are from sociocultural factors “seniority- subordinate” society
